Fluorite, Mica, Arsenopyrite, Quartz – Yaoganxian Mine, Hunan, China

This a very cool combination specimen. The matrix is a dark purple to clear fluorite crystal with fibrous black crystals nearly filling the inside. Generally, these have been marketed as boulangerite, but some more recent (2010) analyses have suggested they may be Berthierite. On top of the fluorite is a combination of mica, arsenopyrite, and quartz.  Perfect for a collection of good specimens that doesn’t take up too much room.
